Social enterprising
One of the main purposes of Dar al Yasmin is to support newcomers in finding their way in the Netherlands (of Europe).
One way for a living can be the start and development of an enterprise. We support newcomers in this respect.
Therefore we founded a separate organization (foundation) that is focussing on business support.
Community of practice
Creating a community of newcomers who want to start a business is one way we want to support. The other way is in business advicement and in being an incubator.
But in the business community we strive to strenghten each other as start-ups by sustainable relationships. For example for coaching and intervision, for advicing, sharing housing and equipment, and for (partly) common marketing.
In this sustianable relationship we share common values. In short we can explain them in this way: we are social enterprises for whom social values (such as inclusiveness and sustainability) are equal as important as making money. And we agree on the code of doing no harm.
Recommendations
New talents incubator
For newcomers that don’t want to be part of our community – of that simply don’t fit in the community, we have another way of helping.
We provide business advices but we also have an arrangement to support start-up business as an incubator. It is a broad program in which newcomers who want to start a business are being informed, trained and coached.
The program starts during the summer time and it will take about 3 months for the initial phase. So you have time to prepare and to spend your time on working on your business ideas. The total program will last for 3 years, in which you get support from us as an incubator and from the business community involved with New Talents Incubator.

DAY Social Enterprising
We facilitate and initiate social enterprises. In this way, we form a community of newcomer entrepreneurs, who support, inspire and share practical facilities with each other. Links of some members are shown below.
Besides this we advice newcomers in starting up their business, also if they are not part of our community. In this case the relationship is more temporary, and we have a role of incubator.
To separate our activities in the field of social enterprises from our other activities we founed a separate organization for this: Stichting DAY (DAY foundation).
